RANDY 4 MAYOR

Since my first campaign for City Council in 2019, I have been encouraged by the citizens of Beaumont to run for mayor. As we approach the 2025 campaign, there has been a significant increase in people encouraging me to run for Mayor. I believe our city is in need of strong leadership, and I know I can help restore confidence in our city government.

The city currently has a declining fund balance approaching the required 20% of the general operating budget. We have always kept a healthy fund balance to assist in recovery after disasters like Hurricane Rita, Ike, Harvey and others. In doing so, we have not had to wait for FEMA to help us rebuild.  This declining fund balance is one indication of the need for new and stronger leadership.

We are living in challenging times and are faced with complicated issues. This election must be about electing strong leaders who have the moral courage to change the narrative of Beaumont. We can rewrite Beaumont into a compelling story that promotes growth and improves the quality of life for our families.

When we stop hoping and dreaming – we stop building bridges to our future. I refuse to give up!

THE CALL TO ACTION FOR THIS CAMPAIGN HAS BEEN AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE:

ONE CITY UNITED!

ONE CITY UNITED is a guiding principle for our campaign. I believe the unified effort and growth we seek in our city must begin with leadership. I promise to provide strong leadership, and encourage excellence in all we do.  I truly believe if we come together as a community, there is no challenge we cannot overcome.

ONE CITY UNITED

We will continue to focus on these 4 areas:

PLATFORM

As Mayor, the main focus of my administration will be:

Restoring Strong Leadership To The Mayoral Office

The Mayor, through the strength of leadership and character must gain the respect and earn the trust of the City Hall and City Council. Something I believe my opponent has failed to do.

Restoring A Sense Of Professionalism To The Mayoral Office

The Mayor’s office should be more about supporting our citizens than self-promotion!

Working To Maintain A Healthy Fund Balance

The Mayor, Council, and City Manager, must work together to ensure a healthy fund balance to ensure a strong bond rating and to remain prepared for natural disasters!

Supporting Our First Responders – Police, Firefighters, And EMS

Ensuring the safety of our citizens begins with advocating for first responders at city hall, and resourcing our first responders.

City Improvements And A Sensible Approach To Downtown Development

Downtown development demands a bold vision and calculated risk but must make sense to our citizens and have their support.

Continuing To Support Economic Growth

With $80 billion of current/planned industrial projects, $4.5 billion in infrastructure projects and more than $460 million in commercial/retail projects, SETX is booming with economic activity. We must take advantage of this opportunity to change the decline our city through economic and numerical growth.
